Where do i begin? technology is said to be the things that have been created to make our life easier. i would have to agree. no one in the U.S. truly lives like cavemen. we have stoves and ovens and microwaves and computers blah blah blah. if you ask me i think we have all grown too dependant on technology, including myself. i mean dont get me wrong, i dont think i could make it without a couple of technological things. but do you ever see anyone actually use the library to study using books anymore? we go straight to the internet because it is the place where we can find anything we need. i'm not saying that all devices should be destroyed or something but how would life be if we didn't have these great things. take videogames for instance. my little brother is one of those kids who doesn't want to do anything but play games. he wants every new system new game but he was barely passing school. when we threaten to take his videogames away when he does bad, he starts to do better. now i dont know about you but i think that's utterly ridiculous. that could be a huge example of the negative affects on the world.that right there is a sign that we have to learn not to depend on technology.i'm not big on comuters and stuff but everything around me is part of technology. so i guess if you really think about it, we ALL are being affected greatly.

I agree. There are a lot of bad things that can come from it. I grew up with out getting video games, the computer, and I didn't get to watch television that much. I believe that made me work harder because I didn't have as many distractions. I don't feel that this technology is all bad but I do feel that younger children should be playing outside and not with video games 24/7.
I pretty much agree with everything you said. I also have a brother who love love loves to play video games 24/7...gets a little annoying. I also mentioned myself that yes technology is good but it also has negative effects on people, like your brother playing too many video games that its affecting his grades in school, but once you take it away from him he does better.
I would like to comment on your observation about libraries. Often, when conducting major research, it's imperative to visit a library. Although many libraries have their collections online, to physically get the information one must visit the library. I spent a great deal of last summer at the Valparaiso University library, because the information I needed was not available online. I'll put a technology twist on this, though. I found the information I needed referenced in academic journals I'd found online. So? My point is that traditional literacy and digital literacy can indeed compliment each other.
agree with what u said. it seems that we cant make everything without one or two tech-things. i always play computer games every nite. without it, i will be crazy and mad.
This Is jackson. Maybe you don't know me before, but now you know me. i agree with you, i'm a same person as your brother, i play video games a
lot even more sreious. It depends on what vedeo game i play, but i stand nearly half time of whole day before.
People loves technology, because it's
conventient and useful, that's true. It affects people's life a lot and lots of young people including me don't want to go outside a lot. it's a problem
